The Nevada Clean Energy Fund partners with governments, nonprofits, businesses, and utilities to achieve their energy objectives. Commercial buildings can cut energy usage and costs by up to 40% by investing in clean energy measures such as better insulation, more efficient heating and air conditioning, electric vehicles, and solar, while also making the air occupants breathe healthier and the building more comfortable and safe.

NCEF Programs
Clean Energy Financing
The Nevada Clean Energy Fund provides up to $1 million in low-cost, flexible financing for clean energy measures in buildings and projects. Eligible measures include distributed and community solar, energy storage, geothermal heat pumps, energy efficiency, HVAC, weatherization, fleet electrification and charging, and others.
Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy
C-PACE is a policy-enabled tool commercial properties can use to finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, and resiliency improvements on their property. NCEF is a capital provider in all Nevada C-PACE jurisdictions, and, in some instances, serves as program administrator.

US Department of Agriculture (USDA)
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has several programs available for clean energy and electrical infrastructure projects, including the Community Facilities Program, the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP), and Business & Industry Loan Guarantees.
The Nevada State Infrastructure Bank is a state government entity that provides low-cost financing to Nevada state agencies, local governments, Tribal governments, and non-profit organizations for priority infrastructure projects. It is currently accepting applications.
Your Utility
NV Energy offers incentives and services to businesses and non-profit customers, including free smart thermostats, solar net metering, EV charger rebates, and discounts on efficient lighting, cooling, and kitchen equipment. If NV Energy is not your utility, reach out to your local utility for info on their programs.
Energy Star
ENERGY STAR provides credible and unbiased information about clean energy, including energy-saving checklists and energy benchmarking tools (Portfolio Manager) for commercial buildings.
Federal Tax Credits
Several tax credits for clean energy (including rooftop solar, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles) are available for a limited time. These tax credits are accessible to governments (including public schools) and nonprofit entities as well through "direct pay" with the IRS. Many of these tax credits are expiring in 2025 and 2026.
Southern Nevada Water Authority
The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA)'s Water Efficient Technologies Program for commercial and multifamily properties offers funding for turf replacement, air conditioning replacements, and other types of custom water saving measures.
