Our vision is to blend government funds and charitable contributions with investments from private investors to scale our solutions to reach all Nevadans. Achieving long-term sustainability for our clean energy solutions is critical to ensuring Nevadans always have a reliable resource to turn to when their air conditioning unit fails amid record high temperatures or a school district looks to electrify their bus fleet so that our children can breathe cleaner air. Partner with NCEF in providing critical access to low-cost capital and technical assistance for clean energy to residents, businesses, organizations, schools, and communities in Nevada.
The Nevada Clean Energy Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
In October 2023, NCEF submitted approximately $350 million in federal grant applications to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. NCEF is the only organization in Nevada to apply for these funds. The funds represent a singular opportunity to advance clean energy, climate solutions, environmental justice, and economic growth in Nevada. In addition to providing financing for clean energy projects, the federal funding proposals would leverage NCEF’s diverse network of partners across the state to conduct targeted outreach, education, and technical assistance in rural, urban, Tribal, and persistent poverty communities. The proposals seek to catalyze market transformation and impact for clean energy in Nevada at scale by spurring regulatory and permitting change, building a sustainable and diverse clean energy workforce, and leveraging private capital. NCEF is currently focused on building organizational capacity and originating Nevada’s pipeline of impactful clean energy projects to be ready to begin deploying capital in July 2024, which is when EPA anticipates making funds available.
